Your Mission – As a Product Owner you will contribute to our product vision, strategy and own execution for products within Sprocket Security. You will increase delivery predictability and release quality while enabling more proactive product strategy. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our product offerings, ensuring that our roadmap aligns with our customers’ needs both internally and externally, and delivering solutions on time and above expectations.

Responsibilities: 

  • Listen to the market, collect, analyse and validate ideas for future releases, or products.
  • Define, prioritize, and clarify user stories, working with other stakeholders to understand use cases, features, business & technical domain rules and overall product goals.
  • Support market research and customer feedback analysis to inform product enhancements and new feature development.
  • Prioritize work based on business goals, customer needs, and delivery impact with guidance from senior product leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, internal customers (pen testers), UI/UX, and other cross team communication to drive decisions on engineering based on vision and roadmap, to bring products to market successfully.
  • Work with development teams to continuously improve product ownership and other processes.
  • lead cross-functional meetings (refinement, planning, incident review, User Acceptance Testing) so that everyone participates, decisions are made, and outcomes are documented.
  • Maintain the functional quality of the work being delivered by setting and evaluating expectations and acceptance criteria.
  • Draft and distribute internal and customer-facing release notes, and proactively communicate release scope, timing, and key updates to Marketing and other relevant stakeholder teams.
  • Track and report on agreed success metrics post-release, with support from the product leadership.
  • Ensure that technical focused user stories are created following team process for requirements, and collaborate with development, and SMEs to ensure accuracy and feasibility. 
  • Provide guidance on product development methodologies, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Conduct discovery to the identify market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform product roadmaps.

Qualifications:Minimum:

  • Fundamental understanding of SaaS business.
  • 1-4 years of product owner experience in a SaaS business. 
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has independently driven delivery flow (intake → backlog → refinement → sprint → QA → release) in a fast-moving product org.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using Aha!/Jira/Trello.
  • Experience using Notion/Confluence.
  • Knowledge of agile development practices (especially Scrum) methodology and tools.
  • Experience with writing user stories, grooming product backlogs
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, or equivalent working experience.
  • Coordinating/ prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Experience authoring Technical User Stories / Use Cases .

Preferred: 

  • Product Owner experience within Cybersecurity.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment.
