Why this role is important to us

We are looking for a Product Specialist, with expertise in risk models and optimization who would be part of our Americas Solution Engineering Team. The Solutions Engineering ("Post Sales") team is focused on the quantitative parts of the investment process across risk, performance attribution, and portfolio optimization.

You will act as a key subject matter expert on behalf of the firm. You will consult with clients and prospects on how best to utilize and gain value from the Axioma risk and optimization solutions. You will work directly with the Customer Success team in navigating complex risk and optimization use-cases across asset managers, asset owners, and hedge funds. This role is also critical to bringing feedback to the product team to enhance the product.

What you will be responsible for

  • Work with a dedicated list of existing clients to build long-term relationships, help them extract maximum value from Axioma products, and ensure high level product utilization, resulting in high retention.

  • Provide subject-matter expertise on optimization, risk models, APIs, and portfolio analytics.

  • Work directly with product team to influence product enhancements and improvements, guided by client feedback and personal experience. And educate clients on new product features relevant to their subscription.

  • Work with prospective clients to help them understand the unique value of Axioma products.

  • Understand prospective clients' needs and current workflows and train them on the effective use of software and risk models.

  • Guide prospective clients on implementing Axioma's advanced tools (custom models, multiple risk models in single optimizations, etc.) to achieve superior results.

  • Team with implementation experts on product installation and integration in client environments.

  • Coordinate and involve additional subject matter experts to ensure clients have answers to important questions in a timely fashion.

  • Provide feedback to the Product Management team in ongoing efforts to improve and expand Axioma's product capabilities.

What we value

  • Degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, finance, econometrics, or operations research.

  • 3+ years of experience in quantitative finance

  • Experience with portfolio optimization, analytics, and performance attribution

  • Experience with factor risk models

  • Understanding of the use of APIs (Java, Python, R, Webservices, Matlab) is a plus

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • Flexibility to attend SimCorp office 2x/week as per our hybrid policy.

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $156,000-200,000 USD. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave, and retirement plans. Your total compensation may vary based on role, location, department and individual performance.
