Chemours is seeking a Product Stewardship & Regulatory Consultant to join our growing Advanced Performance Materials (APM) Business Sustainability team! This position will report directly to the APM Product Stewardship & Sustainability Manager at our Wilmington, DE location.
As a Product Stewardship & Regulatory Consultant, you will be part of a close-knit team of motivated and energetic professionals where you will contribute to our business success by providing subject matter expertise on product compliance, safety and sustainability. You will be tasked with ensuring the business has information appropriate for decision making and managing work within a sustainability organization.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Leading the external regulatory and sustainability “sensing” to drive implementation of legal, safe and trusted sustainability framework
- Providing guidance to the business for issue management using all internal Product Sustainability resources to give a full picture and drive decision making
- Preparing internal and external communications for product-specific regulatory or sustainability issues
- Completing product line sustainability reviews to detect emerging issues, confirm compliance and support Corporate Responsibility Commitment (CRC) goals
- Leading the Product Sustainability workstream for New Product Development (NPD) process and provide guidance in all Management of Change (MOC) decisions for assigned product lines
- Identify and implement continuous improvements to internal processes
The following is required for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years' work experience
- Experience in the chemical industry, and preferably with fluorinated chemistries
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills with a variety of audiences
- Excellent project planning and project management skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team across country lines and time zones
- Demonstrated attention to detail, drive for results and ownership mentality
The following is preferred for this role:
- Chemistry, biology, sustainability, environmental sciences, or related degree and/or work experience
- Previous product stewardship or regulatory compliance experience
- Experience with EU REACH, US TSCA, and other chemical management regulations in various world areas

$97,843.00 - $152,880.00Chemours Level:

Factors considered in extending a compensation offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, and alignment with market data. The incentive pay is dependent on business results and individual performance and subject to the terms and conditions of the specific plans.
