Job Description
TAT Technologies Greensboro facility (Piedmont Aviation Component Services) is looking for a qualified Product Support Engineer to play a crucial role in ensuring efficiency is increased by eliminating wastes and challenging status quo. They work with subordinates to develop and initiate programs that help in closing gaps identified, thus enhancing productivity and quality standards.
The Product Support Engineer will work towards achieving the manufacturing goals and objectives of the organization. They facilitate, execute, and manage projects to reduce the costs significantly by implementing Lean, WCP, and Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing technical support to shop with part/component overhaul.
- Designing and developing repair schemes and repair processes for customer and FAA-DER approval.
- Development and implementation of CAD data to support repair development.
- Coordinating with the machine shop for prototype development.
- Coordinating incorporation of newly designed repairs into shop procedures (travelers).
- Coordinating with current vendors to support repair development.
- Coordinating with machine shop, quality and purchasing on inducting new part/component orders.
- Preparing and maintaining part/component travelers, process flow charts and reports.
