Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Coater to prepare and apply finish coatings and paints to vacuum pumps and systems. This role ensures all products meet Busch quality standards while following established procedures within the Internal Busch Information System (IBIS). The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, and committed to producing high-quality work in a manufacturing environment.

Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80919
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare pumps and systems for painting by masking, taping, filling, and sanding to create a smooth finish
- Apply Teflon coatings required for pump repair and restoration
- Operate surface preparation equipment including grinders, blasters, and lathes
- Mix and apply coatings such as enamels, lacquers, epoxy paints, Teflon, and defric coatings
- Wear required personal protective equipment, including a respirator when applying or baking products
- Apply appropriate coatings and paints to pumps and related systems
- Maintain a clean and organized paint booth and work area
- Follow all internal procedures and quality standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read and operate precision measuring tools
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Basic mechanical math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals)
- Organized and systematic approach to completing tasks
- Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and accountability
- Strong time management skills
- Safety-conscious and able to follow workplace safety procedures
- Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
Previous experience painting or maintaining industrial or commercial equipment is preferred but not required

- Work-appropriate clothing that can get paint on it
- Closed-toe, non-slip shoes
- Safety equipment will be provided as needed
