Production Equipment Operator
Full-Time
Job Summary
Operate, set up, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment runs efficiently, product quality standards are met, and safety procedures are followed.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment.
- Perform machine setups and product changeovers.
- Load materials and keep production running smoothly.
- Conduct quality checks and adjust equipment as needed.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor maintenance.
- Complete production and quality documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety and food safety requirements.
- Support continuous improvement and production efficiency efforts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of industrial production manufacturing, machine operation, or equipment maintenance experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience independently performing machine startups and changeovers.
- Ability to identify equipment issues and support root cause problem-solving.
- Experience in high-speed manufacturing, packaging, food, or beverage production.
- Experience training or mentoring other operators.
