Job Description
Job Title: Quality Inspector – Medical Device ManufacturingLocation: Manchester, NHHourly Rate: $24.00 – $25.00 (depending on experience)Type: Temp-to-HireSchedule: 9/80 Schedule (9-hour days with every other Friday off)
We have 1st and 2nd shift openings
- 1st shift Hours: 6:00/7:00 AM – 3:00/4:00 PM
- 2nd shift Hours: 3:00-12:15pm
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position ensures that products meet established standards and specifications by identifying defects and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The Quality Inspector plays a vital role in upholding product integrity, quality system standards, and overall customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect manufactured products in collaboration with the Production team.
- Work with Quality Engineers to collect inspection data and drive nonconformance resolution.
- Perform containment actions when non-conforming material is identified, following all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Quality Inspector (5+ years preferred).
- Prior experience in medical device and/or electromechanical assembly required.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, InforXA, ExactMax, etc.).
- Experience in ISO9001, AS9100, or ISO13485 regulated environments.
- Experience handling/disposition of non-conforming material a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with inspection and documentation.
- Ability to interpret inspection procedures, drawings, and instructions.
- Knowledge of GDP (Good Documentation Practices), visual/mechanical inspection, and sampling techniques.
- Skilled in using inspection equipment such as Optical Comparator, CMM, micrometers, and pin gages.
- Effective communicator, able to work cross-functionally with all levels.
- Strong organizational, time management, and computer skills; self-starter with the ability to manage multiple demands.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED required.
