Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this leadership position is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety goals are achieved, and providing guidance and support to production employees.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing experience who can motivate a team, coordinate production activities, and maintain efficient operations in a fast-paced industrial environment.Required Experience & Skills High school diploma or GED required Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a leadership role Minimum 1 year of forklift experience preferredForklift certification required Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and production processes Excellent mechanical, mathematical, and analytical aptitude Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvementEssential Duties & Responsibilities Lead daily production activities to achieve productivity, quality, and schedule goals Coordinate production staffing and work rotations based on production demands and employee training needs Monitor machinery and equipment for proper operation and respond to malfunctions as needed Safely start and stop equipment while following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures Perform production duties and provide coverage for employee breaks, absences, and staffing needs Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching, cross-training, and skill development Lead daily housekeeping efforts to maintain a clean and organized production environment Promote a strong safety culture through Servant Leadership principles and positive employee engagement Reinforce company policies, quality standards, and safe work practices Serve as backup to the Production Supervisor when required Assist with additional production and operational duties as assignedPreferred Qualifications Previous experience leading manufacturing teams Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices Experience operating multiple types of production equipment Strong collaboration and conflict-resolution skillsPhysical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and repetitive movement throughout the shift Ability to safely operate forklifts and manufacturing equipment Must wear required PPE and comply with all company safety policiesWork Environment Fast-paced industrial manufacturing facility Exposure to production machinery, forklifts, industrial equipment, noise, and moving mechanical parts Team-oriented environment focused on safety, quality, and production efficiency Opportunity to develop leadership skills while supporting daily manufacturing operationsWhy You'll Want This Opportunity Competitive starting pay of $21.00/hour Stable full-time second-shift schedule Opportunity to lead a production team in a growing manufacturing environment Build leadership experience while working alongside an experienced operations team Long-term career growth potential with a company committed to safety, quality, and employee developmentReady to Apply?Apply today for immediate consideration or call/text 417-208-9462 for more information.You can also apply in person at:Stand-By Personnel Joplin1901 E. 32nd Street, Suite 8Joplin, MO 64804Monday Friday | 8 AM 4 PM
