Oil Shaker Line Operator
Schedule: 1st Shift
Production Machine Operator – 1st Shift
Monroe, CT | $18.00–$18.50 per hour | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Looking for a stable 1st shift opportunity with room to grow?
We're seeking a dependable Production Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Monroe, CT. This is a hands-on role where you'll operate production equipment, perform quality inspections, and help ensure products are manufactured safely and efficiently. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and take pride in producing quality work, we'd love to meet you!
What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor heat treat production equipment.
- Set up production lines according to work orders and operating procedures.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance before startup.
- Monitor oil and water filtration systems and replace filters as needed.
- Inspect parts throughout the production process to ensure quality standards are met.
- Load, unload, and stage materials while preventing product mix-ups.
- Prepare finished products for inspection, packaging, and shipment.
- Complete production documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and report equipment or safety concerns.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operating experience preferred.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic production issues.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience are a plus.
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working around machinery, noise, and heat in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, gloves, and hearing protection.
