Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Pharmacy Technician who takes pride in accuracy, organization,

and getting the job done right. This position plays a critical role in preparing prescriptions,

organizing facility medication cycles, maintaining inventory and supplies, and supporting the

daily production workflow.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced

environment where priorities can shift throughout the day. This role is well suited for someone

who enjoys hands-on work, operates with a sense of urgency, and understands that every

correctly prepared medication directly affects a patient's care.

Responsibilities

Prescription Preparation & Packaging

● Complete daily prescription requests accurately and efficiently

● Prepare, organize, and fill facility punch-card baskets

● Organize facility medication cycles into containers for timely delivery

● Verify packaged compliance cards for accuracy and completeness

● Identify and promptly correct packaging errors

● Compound medications as needed

● File completed and back-tagged prescriptions accurately

● Process return-to-stock medications efficiently

Facility Medication Support

● Scan packaging reports for facility cycle folders

● Return completed reports to the appropriate processing technicians

● Help ensure facility medications are prepared and distributed on schedule

● Support continuity of medication supply by completing assigned production tasks

promptly

Inventory & Supply Management

● Organize and maintain adequate stock of production supplies

● Notify the appropriate team member when supplies need to be reordered

● Track medications borrowed from the retail department

● Ensure borrowed medications are ordered and returned promptly

● Maintain organized production workstations and storage areas

Documentation & Communication

● Scan and file completed facility and retail receipts

● Scan incoming mail, documents, and production records

● Monitor the Production email account

● Distribute incoming messages appropriately among production team members

● Maintain accurate and organized records throughout the production process

Safety & Work Environment

● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment

● Complete the daily cleaning checklist

● Assist with routine cleaning responsibilities, including vacuuming and removing trash

● Follow pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable safety requirements

Team Collaboration

● Work closely with other technicians to complete daily production responsibilities

● Assist with tasks across the department to keep the workflow moving

● Respond positively to changing priorities and operational needs

● Perform additional duties as assigned

● Operate with a team-first mindset and a commitment to accuracy and excellence

Qualifications

● High school diploma or GED required

● Previous pharmacy technician, medication packaging, production, or healthcare

experience preferred

● Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

● Strong organizational and time-management skills

● Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment

● Ability to follow established processes and complete tasks consistently

● Confidence using pharmacy software, automation, and production equipment

● Dependable, professional, and team-oriented

● Willingness to learn new responsibilities and accept feedback

● Ability to work independently while contributing to shared team goals
