Job Description
Quanex is looking for a Production Scheduler to join our team located in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
In this role, you will plan, monitor, and coordinate the job flow within and between each of the manufacturing facilities in Central Minnesota and support internal production departments to ensure maximum productivity.
The hourly rate for this position is: $23 to $28 per hour.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm or 8:00am-4:30pm, further discussion regarding schedule during the interview process

What Success Looks Like:
- Partners with multiple facilities and departments to ensure maximum productivity.
- Continually monitors the status of production jobs, identifies job flow problems and causes, and implements or recommends corrective action to remedy difficulties.
- Identifies and recommends methods to improve scheduling, department effectiveness, cost reduction activities, and overall manufacturing productivity.
- Works closely with the Plant Manager keeping them informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management.
- Continually monitors the shipping schedule report, ensuring all customer requirements are accurately addressed via production orders.
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- 2+ years planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
- Expert in Microsoft Excel, required.
- ERP experience, preferred.
- Ability to perform detailed work that requires high levels of concentration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented.
