Job Description
We Make Doors - Where they lead is up to you…
Production:
- Clean, coat, store, and assemble dies per written instruction
Coat dies per specified procedure
Mix coating per manufacturer's instructions
Prepare die surface for coating per specifications
Clean and inspect die surfaces
Apply TAGS coating evenly to specified thickness within tolerances
Operate die room equipment in safe, efficient, and responsible manner
Assist with die changes as required
Perform routine maintenance on die room equipment
Quality:
- Precision die work and coating application is critical to the process and therefore strict adherence to the documented steps is required
Keep accurate records of all die coating, pins, cups, and tags information
Housekeeping:
- Assure that all dies are cleaned as they come out of the press, paying special attention to the edges. Dies need to be clean and free of debris before assembly.
Keep die room and tables/cart clean at all times.
All tools and materials are to be stored in proper places in cabinets
Store dies in proper order
Communications:
- Communicate effectively with management regarding issues, adjustments, and changes that have taken place. Notify them of supply issues, maintenance needs, hazards, and accidents/injuries.
Maintain complete and accurate written and/or electronic records and data.
Maintenance:
- Assist/perform die repair as requested.
Perform/assist in maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks (on production lines) to minimize downtime.
Assure that through rods and threads are in good repair.
General:
- Know and understand all job duties.
Operate a forklift and other equipment as necessary.
Abide by all company policies and procedures.
Perform all other duties assigned by management.
