Job Description

Schedule: Monday–Friday (5 days per week) with off-shift support as neededDepartment: Extrusion / Acrylic ProductsReports To: Operations ManagerDirect Reports: 15+ hourly employees (Operators, Assistants, Utility, Leadhands, Coordinators, Coating personnel)ROLE SUMMARY:The Superintendent leads safe, high-quality, and efficient operation of sheet extrusion, MFC, and related processes. Responsible for daily production performance in safety, quality, yield, OEE, staffing, and continuous improvement across a 24x7 operation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Direct daily/weekly operations ensuring safe, reliable, high-quality output.- Lead safety, environmental, TPM, 5S, and customer requirement compliance.- Ensure ISO/RC14001 and regulatory adherence.- Deliver OEE improvements and manage downtime, yield, and productivity.- Oversee quality inspection and adherence to specs.- Manage Work Orders and documentation logs.- Maintain 5S, ESP, and TPM standards.- Develop and coach operators; manage performance and conflict.- Ensure training compliance and required equipment licensing.- Support 24x7 operations via off-shift availability.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:- 5–10 years of manufacturing supervision experience.- Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict management capability.- Technical aptitude (mechanical/electrical/controls).- SAP and Microsoft Office proficiency.- Knowledge of raw materials, product specs, and regulatory standards.- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT:- Exposure to noise, heat, hazardous materials.- Frequent walking, standing, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work Monday- Friday during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
