Schedule: Monday–Friday (5 days per week) with off-shift support as neededDepartment: Extrusion / Acrylic ProductsReports To: Operations ManagerDirect Reports: 15+ hourly employees (Operators, Assistants, Utility, Leadhands, Coordinators, Coating personnel)ROLE SUMMARY:The Superintendent leads safe, high-quality, and efficient operation of sheet extrusion, MFC, and related processes. Responsible for daily production performance in safety, quality, yield, OEE, staffing, and continuous improvement across a 24x7 operation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Direct daily/weekly operations ensuring safe, reliable, high-quality output.- Lead safety, environmental, TPM, 5S, and customer requirement compliance.- Ensure ISO/RC14001 and regulatory adherence.- Deliver OEE improvements and manage downtime, yield, and productivity.- Oversee quality inspection and adherence to specs.- Manage Work Orders and documentation logs.- Maintain 5S, ESP, and TPM standards.- Develop and coach operators; manage performance and conflict.- Ensure training compliance and required equipment licensing.- Support 24x7 operations via off-shift availability.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:- 5–10 years of manufacturing supervision experience.- Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict management capability.- Technical aptitude (mechanical/electrical/controls).- SAP and Microsoft Office proficiency.- Knowledge of raw materials, product specs, and regulatory standards.- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT:- Exposure to noise, heat, hazardous materials.- Frequent walking, standing, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs.Work Availability
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work Monday- Friday during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
