SUMMARY
The production supervisor will be responsible for meeting all production goals set for the department. This position will also be responsible for setting the training plan and review for any new associate to the company or to a specific position in the manufacturing area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand and track production metrics for the department
- Perform a needs assessment upon review of all associates skills and 3 associate coverage
- Work with trainer to develop a plan to improve skills of associates
- Maintain a succession plan to cover each position in the department
- Mentor and develop associates
- Review work instructions and procedures for accuracy
- Accurately track KPI's in the SQDCP database (efficiency, build to schedule, scrap, absenteeism, quality)
- Review workload to headcount and adjust as necessary
- Provide daily feedback to team
- Create and implement corrective actions based on KPI results
- Maintain a positive outlook and a can-do attitude
- Maintain timecards
- Plan coverage for associates with time off
- Ensure team is following all safety protocols
- Enforce company policy and standards
- Maintain 5S in department
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities
- Attention to detail
- Performed each job skill or thoroughly understands it and can document and communicate the process.
- Working knowledge of excel, word, and AS400.
- Held a leadership position of some type.
- No documented issues related to attendance, efficiency, completion of work, quality of work, teamwork, cleanliness, or safety.
- Problem solving ability and a critical thinker.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Speak and write in English with correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar to form coherent and cohesive sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and AS400 Manufacturing software.
