Job Description
Our Client, an Automotive company, is looking for a Production Supervisor for their Bowling Green, KY location.Responsibilities:
- Successful candidate must perform functions as it relates to safety, people, quality, responsiveness and environmental.
- Ensuring quality vehicles are built within the department and non-conformance is followed up on.
- Employees time is completed daily for payroll
- Throughput efficiencies and measured and improved upon daily.
- Manage cost through scrap reduction initiatives
- Problem solving of issues within the department.
- People management and issue resolution between employees and quick grievance resolution.
- Key responsibilities for the group leader in this role - Successful candidate will be a production supervisor in general assembly.
- They will be managing a group of represented hourly employees in the day to day operation of vehicle manufacturing..
- Manage cost through scrap reduction initiatives, problem solving issues within the department.
- Somebody that has previous automotive manufacturing experience, lean 6 sigma experience and understand the nuts and bolts of it.
- Associate’s Degree (4 year degree is not required)
- 2 years of manufacturing experience
- Manufacturing experience- Looking to see if they have automotive manufacturing experience.
- Union Experience is ideal
- Mechanically Inclined-
- Candidate will never pick up a tool or part.
- They need to look at the bolt and determine the size of the bolt and threaded holes and studs.
- Also, identify fenders etc..
- Understand which parts go together.
