Production Supervisor - Nights - D Shift

• This role is a 12-hour Night shift, 2-2-3, 745pm - 8am*

Job Summary:

Oversee and coordinate the activities of production workers on the D Shift, ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing operations during night hours. This role focuses on maintaining production schedules, optimizing resource utilization, and fostering a safe and productive work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct a team of production operators, technicians, and other manufacturing personnel during the night shift (D Shift).
• Ensure production targets are met or exceeded in terms of quantity, quality, and efficiency.
• Monitor production processes and equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly, minimizing downtime.
• Implement and enforce all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet specified standards.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and development to existing staff.
• Prepare and maintain accurate production reports, including shift summaries, output data, and incident reports.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and departments (e.g., maintenance, quality control) to optimize overall plant performance.
• Troubleshoot production problems and implement corrective actions.
• Manage employee attendance, performance, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing-related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience working night shifts is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate, train, and develop a diverse team.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing software and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
