Job Description
- Effectively work and communicate with a team to continuously improve quality, safety, efficiency, and productivity.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Schedule production for the department and meet production requirements.
- Coordinate requirements and schedules with other departments.
- Supervise up to 30 production hourly employees.
- Adjust work force based on workload.
- Troubleshoot and solve production problems.
- Evaluate and improve production efficiency.
- Follow company policy and procedures (safety, quality, productivity, discipline, order, human resources, and continuous improvement).
- Some extended hours & weekends as necessary.
- Drive & Implement improvement & Lean initiatives.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Supervisory & Quality experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in basic math skills.
- Excellent communicator, both verbally and written.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Knowledge of machinery and packaging equipment a plus.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Quality Systems (i.e. ISO9001).
- Good decision-making skills.
- 5-S & Lean Manufacturing experience a plus.
- Proficiency using Measurement Tools (i.e., Tape Measure, Digital Calipers, etc.)
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
