Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The Production Supervisor - Processing (2nd Shift) role includes, but is not limited to, being a proven leader who communicates and enforces Unilever's safety and quality policies and procedures along with supporting the goals of the factory/department. This person will be required to lead, coach and develop our teammates in all aspects of the production operation. They are also responsible for their personal growth and development while driving continual improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost. They must also be able to think strategically and make sure that we maximize the availability and efficiency of the department.  This position requires flexibility as your schedule may vary (with notice) due to vacation coverage for other supervisors and other business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Your focus, leadership and collaborative nature will be a huge positive contributor to the success in this role.
  • You adapt to change and communicate clearly and effectively across all tiers of organization.
  • Managing manufacturing activities during the designated shift by leading and motivating teammates in all areas including safety, quality, efficiency, loss management, and continuous improvement (UMS).
  • Meeting legislative requirements, providing instruction in regard to safety procedures and supporting plant SHEQ initiatives as required (GMP, Hygiene, 5S, etc.)
  • Accountable for the productivity of the site during shifts. This requires contacting appropriate resources for issue resolution, providing alternative duties in the event of breakdown or material shortage.
  • Monitoring general performance and behavior of teammates and adjusting staffing or call in replacements as necessary. This requires interfacing with Facilities Support, Material Planning, Quality Support, Warehouse and other department supervisors to ensure efficient operation to meet plant goals.
  • Utilizing Kronos Timekeeping System to maintain weekly record of hours worked, along with explanation of overtime hours worked and ensure hours worked, vacation, personal hours, absences, etc. are correctly documented so employees are paid accurately.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain with at least 2 years of leadership experience in manufacturing OR High School Diploma with at least 6 years' experience in a manufacturing leadership role;
  • Previous experience in establishing and maintaining relationships on all levels of the business, while creating a culture of safety, quality and operational excellence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Food Manufacturing, Recipe Management Systems is a plus, and/or batching operations.
  • Experience in SAP and inventory management systems.
  • Continuous Improvement experience (WCM/TPM/LEAN).

Pay: The pay range for this position is $71,400 to $107,200. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
