Primary Responsibility: Effectively lead fellow team members within the department.

Primary Duties:

  • Assign Team Members tasks associated with a production work center
  • Prep and set up jobs as scheduled on the board. For example, team member is close to completing a job. The next job that they are to begin work on will be ready to go. All paperwork has been reviewed, material is ready for them to begin work. All prep or set up work should be done by the Team Lead
  • Work with Scheduling and Production Supervisor to ensure schedules can be met
  • Communicate issues that may prevent the successful completion of planned work in an effective and timely manner
  • Review Quality data to ensure work being done is in line with company Quality Policies
  • Make decisions that are associated with overall goals and objectives as stated in our company policies and as directed by Management
  • Participate in NPD
  • Monitor job times, indirect hours and efficiencies
  • Generate work orders for equipment repairs within the work center
  • Monitor inventory sign out sheets
  • Ensure proper training as outlined in training plan for new team member
  • Evaluate the performance of team members along with Production Management and HR
  • Mentor/coach employee owners with job related issues and personal growth.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Must have strong communication skills to communicate with other employee owners, team leads, and production supervisors.
  • Previous leadership experiences is a plus
  • Computer experience is a plus
  • Highly organized with ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Must have a positive attitude with a customer appreciation mentality
  • Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
