Production Technician Lead

Join us as a (Temporary) Production Tech Lead for 2nd shift in our Louisville, KY facility.

You will be leading a team on a manufacturing floor that produces industrial air filters. Making sure the team is operating safely and putting out quality products in a timely fashion and cost-effective manner.

More details about the opportunity:

• Leading daily meetings to review safety, quality updates, training needs, staffing levels, scheduling changes, and overtime opportunities while ensuring all team members understand shift priorities and expectations.
• Reading, sending, and organizing shift‑to‑shift communication, including emails and production reports, to ensure accurate documentation, timely updates, and seamless coordination between departments.
• Monitoring production performance throughout the shift, identifying bottlenecks or downtime causes, and taking immediate corrective action to maintain throughput, efficiency, and product quality.
• Working hands‑on with employees to keep the production line running, performing in‑process quality checks, delivering on‑the‑job training, reinforcing best practices, and supporting team members with technical questions or challenges.
• Ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly staged for operators, coordinating with warehouse, planning, and maintenance teams to prevent shortages, delays, or workflow disruptions.
• Developing team members through coaching, feedback, and training, helping them build skills, follow Standard Operating Procedures, and meet or exceed production and quality metrics.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 50lbs.

Position hours/shifts (Overtime Available!):

• 2nd shift: 3pm to 1:30am, Monday through Thursday
• This is only a temporary role (6 to 9 months) with potential to become temp to hire, dependent on the need

Compensation:

The hourly pay for this role is: $28 to $30/hr. DOE.
