Job Description

POSITION TITLE:               Production Worker

DIVISION:                           Industries

SUPERVISOR:                    Industry Production Manager

CLASSIFICATION:              Non-Exempt

PURPOSE:

To ensure the efficient and accurate movement and handling of materials within the facility, supporting smooth production operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Completes work orders, records, marks, packs, weighs, ships or stores product.
2. Adheres to established production schedules.
3. Follow guidelines as established by customer for quality control of items being manufactured and assembled.
4. Report work-concurrent accidents, illness, and/or injuries are handled in appropriate manner and proper documentation is completed as required by DSI.
5. Ability to work with varied population.
6. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall success of the production team.

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:

1. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
2. Knowledge & ability to read production schedules & work orders
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in production work.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
5. Basic math and communication skills.
6. Ensure confidentiality.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Proven experience in a production or warehouse environment preferred.
3. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
4. Maintain a valid Indiana driver’s license, insurance on personal vehicle (minimum of PLPD with medical liability coverage), and maintain insurability as defined by the agency liability insurance carrier.
