GENERAL SUMMARY
This position contributes to and supports Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation and Delta Dental of Minnesota Community Benefits work in meeting the mission to (1) provide support to communities where we operate and serve, strengthening those communities and removing barriers to optimal oral health and (2) improve oral and overall health outcomes in Minnesota, and helping Minnesota communities thrive. This position creates new content and curates existing content for websites and social media and provides administration of the same; supports the Foundation and Community Benefit grants administration and program development and implementation.
This position will be with Stratacor, an affiliate of Delta Dental of Minnesota.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Communications and Social Media Content Creation, Curation and Administration
Create new content and curate existing content for Foundation website and social media.
Create draft communications and correspondence to both internal and external stakeholders including grantees, community partners, team members and board members.
Lead day-to-day administration of websites and social media presence in collaboration with Foundation Team, Information Technology team and Marketing team.
Edit content for accuracy, voice, readability and comprehensiveness as well as consistency based on audience and brand guidelines.
Grants & Giving Administration
Perform duties of department administrator for day-to-day management of grants software systems and processes for grantmaking.
Assist in development, documentation and maintenance of grant administration policies and procedures.
Provide initial point of contact and subsequent customer service to funding applicants and grantees regarding grant requirements, status, and questions.
Perform preliminary screen for completeness of Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) and proposals, draft grant letters, check requests, and other grantee communications.
Administer notification processes, including reminders, report submissions and report approvals, and ensure approvals are properly documented.
Assist with preparing materials for Board and Committee meetings.
Assist in planning and coordination of program area meetings, both at the office and off-site.
Day-to-Day Department Administration & Collaboration
Coordinate and schedule meetings (team meetings, internal collaboration meetings, external meetings).
Provide project and research support to the Foundation Team related to program areas and special projects, as assigned.
Manage and administer department paper and electronic files and email boxes in a timely and efficient manner.
Provide Community Benefits support for flash philanthropy events with Human Resources and Impact teams. Liaises with recipient organizations.
Assists with other employee volunteer events as assigned.
Manage Community events calendar and provide communications to team members regarding upcoming events and opportunities for attending events.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required:
- Dedication to working in Foundation, nonprofit, or public affairs settings.
- Experience creating/curating digital content for website and/or social media platforms.
- Strong organization skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Strong reading, writing and copy-editing abilities.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and achieve goals within tight deadlines.
- Capability to work with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, web-based tools and other software products.
- High level of flexibility to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deal with quickly changing work demands.
- Ability to collaborate across departments.
- Avid intellectual curiosity and desire for learning.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Professional exposure and/or experience in community affairs, public affairs, Foundation or corporate grantmaking
- Professional exposure and/or experience in communications and social media/digital content creation
- Experience managing projects requiring internal and external collaboration

- Weight Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Sedentary Work: Prolonged periods of sitting at a workstation while working at a computer

The starting salary range for this position is $23.00 TO $29.00 per hour. Salary offers will typically be made in the listed range. The Company takes into consideration a candidate's education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including merit process and internal pay alignment when determining the salary for potential new team members. In compliance with state and federal regulations, a potential new team member's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
