About Thrive

The mission of Thrive is to journey with women ministering overseas by providing spiritual resources, transformative experiences, and authentic one-on-one relationships to replenish them as they invest in Kingdom work.

As we enter a season of strategic renewal, we're asking important questions about how our programs can best serve the needs of today's women ministering overseas. We're looking for a leader who can help us steward what is working while shaping what comes next.

Position Summary

The Program Director provides strategic and operational leadership for Thrive's program portfolio, including Retreats & Virtual Gatherings, Alongside, and Connection.

This leader will partner closely with the CEO to translate vision into program strategy while ensuring every program is executed with excellence.

During the first year, this role will be heavily involved in leading Thrive's retreat ministry while learning the organization from the inside out. Over time, the role will increasingly focus on program leadership, innovation, evaluation, and team development.

This position may be based in our Colorado office, or performed remotely within the United States. Office-based employees work a hybrid schedule with two remote workdays each week. Remote candidates should expect to connect with the team in person approximately four times per year (typically 2–3 days per visit) for strategic planning, collaboration, and relationship building. This position also includes international travel as needed to lead our in-person retreat area.

  • Provide leadership for annual retreats and virtual gathering(s).
  • Supervise and develop program coordinators and lead Thrive's volunteer engagement strategy.
  • Partner with the CEO to evaluate existing programs and develop new initiatives.
  • Use participant feedback, research, and organizational learning to continuously improve our programs.
  • Build systems and processes that enable excellent program delivery.
  • Participate in strategic planning and help shape Thrive's future program direction.

What Success Looks Like

During your first year you will:

  • Successfully lead three retreats and one virtual gathering.
  • Build strong relationships with program staff, volunteers, and key partners.
  • Successfully transition retreat leadership from our current coordinator.
  • Evaluate Thrive's current programs and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
