Job Description

Ultimate Medical Academy is a non-profit healthcare educational institution with a national presence. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida and founded in 1994, UMA offers content-rich, interactive online programs as well as hands-on training at our Clearwater, Florida campus.

Purpose of the Position:

The Program Supervisor is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of educational programs. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, engaging, and accessible courses that meet institutional standards and support student success.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Develop and Implement Programs: Design and oversee the creation of courses and programs that align with the institution’s goals and standards.
  2. Monitor and Evaluate Program Effectiveness: Continuously assess the quality and effectiveness of courses, making necessary adjustments to improve student outcomes.
  3. Collaborate with Faculty and Staff: Work closely with educators and administrative staff to ensure the successful delivery and support of programs.
  4. Ensure Compliance and Accessibility: Ensure that all programs meet accreditation standards and are accessible to all students, including those with disabilities.
  5. Manage Budgets and Resources: Oversee the financial aspects of programs, including budgeting, resource allocation, and securing funding.
  6. Oversee Regional Program Operations: Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the education programs across multiple geographic regions, ensuring consistency in execution, compliance, and performance outcomes.
  7. Analyze and Respond to Regional Market Trends: Monitor regional enrollment data, demographic shifts, and market dynamics to adjust recruitment strategies and optimize outreach efforts tailored to specific populations.
  8. Support Cross-Regional Collaboration and Best Practices: Facilitate communication and collaboration among the program’s teams, sharing insights, standardizing best practices, and aligning efforts with institutional goals and regional needs.
  9. Lead with Care: Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of wellness, recognition, and engagement. Meet regularly with direct reports in one-on-one and group settings to provide feedback and cultivate/maintain a positive work culture.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience for Radiography and Limited Scope Radiography

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiography Program.
  • Holds a minimum of a master’s degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • Possesses current ARRT certification in radiography or equivalent (e.g., unrestricted state license).
  • Demonstrates a minimum of three years of full-time clinical experience in medical imaging.
  • Possesses two years of experience as an instructor in a program at an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA.
  • Evidences experience in instruction, student evaluation, academic advising, educational methods, and supervision of personnel.
  • Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
  • Ability to contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Skills – online and hybrid course delivery, instructional design principles application, curriculum adaptation, managing online education programs, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in any of the above required skills/experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Other skills or abilities – Learning Management System (LMS), emerging education technologies, education program strategic planning and market analysis.

Compliance:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and internal policies and procedures.  
  • Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department. 

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • This position is an onsite position at UMA’s ground campuses in Clearwater and Tampa, Florida.   
  • May include a flexible remote schedule for online/virtual instructional opportunity. 
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.

Compensation Range

$100,000 - $110,000USD
