Rate of pay: $15.00. Final compensation is based on factors such as the skills, qualifications, and experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative and creative workshops & activities.
- Supervise participants and always ensure their safety and welfare
- Participate in field trips and out of building activities
- Work cooperatively with other staff.
- Acquaint participants with rules, activities, daily schedules and program routines
- Interact and communicate with parents/guardians during drop-off and pick-up
- Assist in organizing projects, events and special events
- Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly used and maintained
- Attend and complete all staff paperwork and training
- Follow pre-planned schedules and arrive on time to set activities
- Report all injuries immediately and fill out appropriate forms
- Assist in meeting and maintain YMCA standards
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years of age (at least 4 years older than teen in program).
- Demonstrate maturity, good judgement, previous camp experience, or experience working with groups of children.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-Lingual
- Experience working with middle and high school age youth
