Program Management Specialist

TheProgram Management Specialist role is to serve as the point of contact for the customers, answering questions and providing updates. This position is responsible for all aspects of a program, from initial planning to final delivery. The main duties include coordinating work, identifying risks and mitigation plans, handing budget/pricing strategies as well as set timeline estimates. The Program Management Specialist ensures the needs of both external and internal customers are met.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring that program milestones are met
• Overseeing all aspects of programs to ensure compliance with contract regulations and customer needs
• Assessing and recommending new processes or technologies that could improve productivity or efficiency
• Managing time and resources effectively to ensure that programs are completed on time and within budget/cost requirements
• Providing training to Program Management Assistants on new programs or customers to ensure compliance with customer requirements
• Coordinating with internal partners, to ensure that all parties are aware of their responsibilities and meet deadlines
• Monitoring the progress of work being done by outside suppliers or contractors to ensure that it meets specifications set by the organization and that of the customer
• Managing programs from start to finish, including planning, managing resources, and monitoring performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or other related field; or equivalent work experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience in a customer-centric environment
• Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Previous experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry preferred
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to organize, manage, and complete multiple tasks
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications
