Job Description
Job Title: Program Manager Location: Oakland, CA Duration: 7+ Month Contract Pay Range: 80 - 100/hr, W 2 ONLY SUBMIT LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY TO BAY AREA/WORK LOCATION-OAKLAND. ASSIGNMENT IS HYBRID AND REQUIRED ONSITE AT OAKLAND GO ONCE A WEEK LIKELY ON MONDAYS BUT COULD BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. LAPTOP WILL BE ISSUED. ANY ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO BE PROVIDED BY THE SUPPLIER. WITH MGR PRIOR APPROVAL A PRE-DETERMINED AMOUNT CAN BE EXPENSED FOR INTERNET OR CELL. Mileage reimbursement for business travel to a location other than headquartered location, other expenses can be submitted on a case by case basis as needed, based on business needs. TOP THINGS LOOKING FOR: Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to lead cross functional teams/projects, engineering or utility experience, understanding of contracts, previous leadership experience a plus. Summary: Acts as a liaison between the company and their Substation Engineering Contractors. Provides planning, strategic analysis, and operational support. Facilitates, directs, and coordinates activities and special projects related to the execution of the Substation Owner's Engineering outsourced work portfolio. Responsibilities: Support interactions with contractors to manage work plan portfolio. Prioritize issues and take corrective actions as needed. Analyze costs and recommend cost reduction initiatives based on data. Evaluate work processes and suggest improvements. Provide analysis for workload efficiency and recommend future resource needs. Lead special projects to resolve urgent issues. Build and maintain relationships with vendors and their leads. Collaborate with other LOBs to gather feedback and make improvements. Enhance guidance for Owners Engineers and Internal Engineers in dealing with Contractors. Work with Sourcing and Contract Management on MSA’s and contracts. Provide vendors with workload forecasts to gain efficiencies. Manage LAN IDs and contractor workforce. Assess vendor capabilities and strengths, providing feedback for improvement. Evaluate contractor performance based on established business metrics and take corrective actions as needed. Lead Contractor Communications Meetings. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3 years of related experience or equivalent.
