Why this role matters:

As a Program Manager, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of complex satellite mission programs, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and meet customer expectations. You'll act as the central point of coordination across engineering, product, operations, and commercial teams, driving alignment and accountability throughout the program lifecycle. Your work directly enables scalable, high-quality mission delivery and strengthens long-term customer partnerships.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of satellite mission programs from contract execution through final delivery

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high trust and satisfaction throughout the program lifecycle

  • Develop and manage program plans, aligning scope, schedule, budget, and resources across stakeholders

  • Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and escalations to ensure predictable delivery

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive execution and remove bottlenecks

  • Provide clear, timely reporting on program status to internal and external stakeholders

  • Drive continuous improvement in program management practices to enhance delivery efficiency and scalability

What we're looking for

Must haves:

  • 5-10 years of experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder programs in advanced technology environments

  • Proven experience managing customer-facing programs and senior stakeholders

  • Strong track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver aligned outcomes

  • Expertise in end-to-end program management (scope, schedule, budget, and risk)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex or uncertain environments

  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences

  • You speak fluent Dutch and English

  • Ability to obtain required security clearance in the Netherlands

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in Earth Observation, SAR, or remote sensing

  • Background in complex systems or product development environments

  • Experience working with government or defence customers

  • Familiarity with hardware and/or software development environments

  • Advanced degree or program management certification (e.g. PMP, PgMP)
