Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated Program Manager to lead residential operations, support client care, and provide team supervision in a behavioral health setting. This role combines direct service expertise with leadership and program oversight to create meaningful change in the lives of those affected by substance use and mental health challenges.
Responsibilities
As a Program Manager, you will:
Deliver individual and group counseling tailored to client needs
Create and maintain treatment plans, biopsychosocial assessments, and case documentation
Oversee daily operations of residential houses, including staff supervision and client monitoring
Coordinate with external partners (social service agencies, hospitals, courts) for client advocacy and support
Manage intake processes and regulatory compliance for halfway houses
Supervise urine screening protocols and chain of custody procedures
Facilitate recovery-focused events such as retreats, workshops, and group activities
Maintain compliance with ethical standards, agency policies, and clinical procedures
Attend and contribute to staff meetings, trainings, and development opportunities
Ensure full caseload is managed with professionalism and compassion
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
CSC-AD or CAC-AD certification required; LCPC or LGPC preferred
5+ years of experience in residential or site management in substance abuse/mental health settings
CPR certification
Valid driver’s license
Preferred skills and experience:
Strong knowledge of recovery models, chemical dependency, and behavioral health systems
Experience leading teams and supervising multidisciplinary staff
High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal systems
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Commitment to client-centered care and trauma-informed practices
