Program Manager

Job Title: Program ManagerPosition Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Program Managerwith our client located in Santa Clara, CA.Job Description:

• We are seeking a contract Program Manager for an initial 6 month engagement to drive our Engineering Velocity Infrastructure program.
• AI is dramatically increasing engineering velocity by accelerating code development, but software validation has not advanced at the same pace.
• Testing complexity, pipeline capacity, and test execution time are now the primary delivery constraints — creating a critical gap between development velocity and release confidence.
• As our engineering organization scales from ~5K to a projected ~50K commits per period, closing this gap is one of the most important initiatives in Engineering.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide program management for a multi-workstream engineering velocity transformation, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across our Product Business Group
• Drive execution of near-term initiatives that reclaim pipeline capacity and speed up releases by making testing more efficient and reliable
• Support the rollout of process improvements so validation keeps pace with AI-accelerated development
• Program manage delivery of structural initiatives against the established roadmap, areas could include: CI pipeline re-architecture, service reliability improvements, capacity expansion, and benchmarking and AI-driven automation.
• Develop schedules, identify dependencies, critical paths, and bottlenecks, and maintain execution against agreed milestones for the duration of the engagement
• Communicate priorities, risks, and status to program stakeholders and sponsors, and facilitate issue resolution across team boundaries
• Deliver program plans, risk assessment , a status reporting cadence, and executive readouts.
• Use data and analytics to identify engineering bottlenecks, measure pipeline performance, and drive data-informed decisions that improve engineering velocity.

Job Qualifications:

• 8+ years experience as a Program Manager driving large-scale engineering infrastructure or developer productivity programs;
• B.S. in computer science, MBA, or engineering management equivalent preferred.
• Strong technical depth in CI/CD, build/test infrastructure, and/or software validation — able to engage credibly with engineers and exercise sound technical judgment.
• Proven ability to run complex, multi-workstream programs, setting goals, building schedules, managing risks and dependencies, and delivering on time.
• Demonstrated change agent who can drive process and culture shifts that speed time to market while improving organizational consistency.
• Comfort operating at both tactical and strategic levels — delivering near-term wins while building toward a multi-year vision.
• Outstanding communication and influence skills who works effectively with executives and technical and non-technical teams alike, resolving issues regardless of team boundaries
• Experience in data analytics, with the ability to analyze engineering metrics, develop dashboards, and translate data into actionable recommendations.

• Job Type: Contract
• Pay Range: $115-$123/hr.
• Location: Santa Clara, CA (5 days office).
