The Manager of Crisis Services directs day-to-day operations of the Crisis Services team, including the Walk In Crisis Center (WIC) ensuring high quality, immediate, and compassionate care. Provides clinical and administrative supervision and training to WIC Clinicians, focusing on evidence-based crisis intervention and triage. Manages the recruitment, hiring and onboarding of qualified WIC staff. Ensures timely response to crises and adheres to established protocols for assessing, de-escalating, and referring consumers for higher levels of care. Monitors program compliance with the Behavioral Health Administrative Service Organizations (BHASO) and the Behavioral Health Administration (BHA).
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- We are seeking a licensed mental health professional (MA, MS, MSW or Psy D/Ph D) with at least five (5) years' experience, including demonstrated proficiency in managing behavioral health emergencies.
- Must have at least two (2) years or prior supervisory experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Essential Duties:
- Directs day-to-day operations of the WIC.
- Provides direct supervision to the day and evening shift supervisors.
- Ensures the WIC program complies with established policy and procedures, including BHASO contract requirements and BHA rule.
- Ensures staff complete Jefferson Center required trainings as well as trainings that are contractually required.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the WIC program and recommends changes and enhancements as needed.
- Provides on-site supervision of Crisis Clinicians and Masters and Doctoral Interns as needed.
- Monitors workload distribution and work assignments among Crisis Services clinicians.
- Ensures adequate coverage of Crisis Services, including overseeing 24/7 coverage of all key positions.
- Ensures compliance documentation and billing requirements.
- Ensures licensed staff are fully trained in 27-65 statutes and procedures.
- Ensures that clinicians adequately document all contacts in the Jefferson Center electronic health record.
- Ensures that data required by the BHASO is accurate and submitted according to required timelines.
- Participates in Jefferson Center and BHASO meetings as indicated.
- Meets with other Community Partners as assigned.
- Collaborates with Jefferson, Gilpin and Clear Creek County first responders and community partners.
- Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new staff members.
Other Duties:
- Completes mandatory training as required.
- Participates in supervision by coming prepared with an agenda. Reports high risk/problem cases, and utilizes a problem solving approach as well as feedback.
- Attends supervision at times and intervals agreed upon with supervisor.
- Participates in Jefferson Center management meetings.
- Maintains appropriate professional standards.
- Exhibits enthusiasm, courtesy, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in the work environment.
- Maintains effective interpersonal relations with consumers, peers, subordinates, upper management, visitors and the general public.
- Works cooperatively with other community agencies, as appropriate, and in agreement with supervisor. Volunteers to work on Center committees and/or task forces.
- Works collaboratively with other 24/7 leadership and team members.
- This role requires a flexible approach to program improvement, with opportunities to oversee additional services and staff as contractual needs evolve.
- Crisis work requires an innovative leader who can strategically leverage Center resources to enhance crisis services and support cross-functional teams.

Salary Range: $74,800 to $93,000*
Additional Salary Information*:
- The salary range above is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.*
- Jefferson Center pay is determined by various factors including education level, licensure level, years of relative experience, and internal equity amongst current staff.*
