Project Communications Coordinator
The Project Communications Coordinator is responsible for supporting project leadership across communications disciplines and for developing and distributing project-related content to key stakeholder groups. The Communications Coordinator will also support community relations efforts through partner engagement, sponsorship coordination, limited event planning and other local project-related interactions. This role is part of DPR's broader Communications + Brand team and works closely with companywide and regional C+B teammates and mega project leaders to fulfill their role.
In this role, responsibilities include:
Employee Communications
Designing and deploying communications through a variety of channels to ensure project teams have access to timely, relevant information that keeps them connected to their project, team(s), region(s), and the company. This may include employee newsletters, video and other communications vehicles.
Schedule, coordinate and prep presenters for town halls, staff events, and other internal presentations.
Promote and support internal initiatives for the project and companywide initiatives, such as safety campaigns and employee recognition programs.
External Communications
- Identify opportunities to share and actively promote milestones and project highlights.
- Coordinate with regional C+B lead on media relations for community events, awards ceremonies, and other public-facing activities.
- Cultivate and leverage relationships with local media & publications
- Pitch and place stories that support DPR's local project initiatives in local publications.
- Support efforts to secure local speaking opportunities related to project initiatives.
- Manage project-related photography, videography, and portfolio content, ensuring brand standards.
- Partner C+B leaders to support crisis communication planning and response in alignment with company-wide protocols.
Community Relations & Engagement
- Develop a deep understanding of DPR's culture, business, and the industry, and help to build and sustain the company's authentic message and reputation that increases brand value and produces truly great results.
- Support assigned projects' Community and Global Social Responsibility initiatives working closely with GSR pillar represents to ensure alignment
- Identify and support relationship building with local government representatives and community organizations that enhance the project and the DPR brand.
- Support project teams in preparing presentations and communications for large community-based meetings and events.
- Represent DPR at networking events, industry functions, and client engagement opportunities as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of community affairs, employee communications or public relations experience; construction and/or high-tech industry experience a plus
- Able to build strong relationships both internally and externally, including with local government officials and business community representatives
- Problem solver able to adapt to challenges and balance multiple initiatives
- Confident spokesperson and adept crisis manager with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Highly proactive with diligent follow-through on commitments
- Able to work under pressure
- Willingness to work across multiple time zones and travel as needed
National Compensation Range: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 annually
