Project Engineer- Construction- Akron, OH - Job 26-00324Salary Range: $71,000 – $120,000 About the Role: Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is partnering with a premier Engineering Firm in Akron, Ohio to recruit a Project Engineer for construction. You will bridge the gap between field operations and corporate financial reporting, ensuring that projects remain on schedule, under budget, and compliant with all technical specifications.Core Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight: Monitor force accounts, track project costs, and update job costing systems to reflect real-time forecasts.
- Billing & Payments: Manage the end-to-step lifecycle of payment applications to owners, subcontractor invoices, and purchase orders.
- Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive RFI and submittal logs; ensure timely review of shop drawings and & "as-built " documentation.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Verify that all "work-in-place " quantities are accurate; ensure field work complies with all codes, drawings, and specs.
- Reporting: Lead the distribution of weekly man-hour reports and facilitate project status meetings by developing minutes and status updates.
- Personnel & Safety: Assist with field new-hire processing, lead weekly toolbox talks, and maintain rigorous safety and incident records.
- Field Liaison: Interpret designs/drawings, prepare takeoffs, and capture weekly jobsite photography to document progress.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Engineering Technology.
- Technical Literacy: Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans/specs; advanced computer skills (MS Office and project management software).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong foundational knowledge of cost analysis and "takeoff " preparation.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities; a collaborative "team-player " attitude.
