Overview:The Project Controls and Construction Scheduling Specialist plays a critical role within the Project Delivery team, leading integrated project controls, cost oversight, and scheduling execution for capital Transmission and Distribution projects across the Company’s service territory.This position works in close partnership with project managers, engineers, construction teams, and key stakeholders to ensure projects are strategically planned, actively monitored, and delivered in full alignment with approved scope, budget, timeline, and governance standards.
Job Duties:
- Provide project controls support across multiple capital projects throughout the full lifecycle.
- Analyze and validate project cost data, identify variances, and support corrective actions.
- Track performance against approved scope, schedule, and budget baselines, proactively identifying deviations.
- Maintain project structures and internal controls to ensure accurate, compliant reporting.
- Support adherence to governance standards and reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules across design, procurement, and construction phases.
- Coordinate construction sequencing and key milestone planning.
- Partner with project teams to gather progress updates and maintain schedule accuracy.
- Identify schedule risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and distribute schedule updates and performance reports to stakeholders
Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in construction scheduling, or a comparable role.
Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6 scheduling software.
Understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and project lifecycle controls.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and work collaboratively across all organizational levels.
