Job Description
Dancoby Construction
Project Coordinator (Project Manager-in-Training) -- Residential Remodeling
Location: New York City, NY (field-based; projects across NYC and nearby areas)
Bring high-end remodels to life, without the chaos.
If you love turning plans into finished spaces and you're the kind of person who can keep clients calm, trades on schedule, and details locked down, this role is for you. As our Project Coordinator, you'll be the on-site leader in occupied homes, protecting the space, coordinating subcontractors, documenting progress, and building the skills to become a full Project Manager.
Dancoby Construction is a full-service renovation company in New York with 20+ years of experience and a strong reputation for customer-focused, thoughtful renovations. We collaborate closely with homeowners and project partners to deliver beautiful, functional spaces, often in complex city environments where logistics matter as much as craftsmanship. We're a small, tight-knit team, and this role is a key hire. You'll be the owner's right hand in keeping projects running smoothly and clients genuinely happy.
You'll serve as our on-site professional representative, managing day-to-day remodeling operations while training for a Project Manager track. This is a hands-on role that blends field coordination, client communication, scheduling, and detailed documentation. You'll work inside occupied homes with high-end finishes, so professionalism, cleanliness, and respect for the space are non-negotiable.

- Manage selection confirmations and scope changes, documented and approved (no verbal-only changes)

- Log time tracking and trade hours
- Record client decisions, approvals, and scope changes for a clean audit trail
- Schedule inspections 48 hours in advance, be present, and document outcomes
