Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:The Project Coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of various public health initiatives, projects, and services.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Coordinate a variety of evolving grants focused on priority public health areas, including (but not limited to): opioid use disorder, cancer screening and prevention (breast and cervical cancer), accreditation, and infectious disease surveillance.
  2. Grants administration responsibilities will include development and monitoring of workplans for multiple grants, budget/fiscal management, data collection and reporting, workplan execution of grant objectives and deliverables, and funder communications/relations.
  3. Design workflows and strategic approaches to meet grant-specific or programmatic objectives.
  4. Support QI efforts for grant-required and agency-identified priority areas, including quality measures related to assigned area of focus.
  5. Collaborate with Health Access Project Coordinator, departmental leadership, and cross-departmental teams (Interpreting/Translation Services, Marketing Department) on development and dissemination of program-specific promotional and educational materials and campaigns.
  6. Represent ECDHD at coalition and/or Community Health Implantation Plan meetings as needed.
  7. Exercises high level of judgment and independent thinking to resolve project challenges.
  8. Independently coordinates with external and internal partners to complete project activities. Responds effectively to requests from senior-level stakeholders to advance the project.
  9. Perform all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:Bachelor Degree in public health, public policy, public administration, or related field required.REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external clients.
  • Documented attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to work well with individuals of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and intellectual backgrounds.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Experience in administration and management grants or grant-funded programs, including reporting, budget management, and workplan development.
  • Experience or prior involvement in the development, improvement, or evaluation of health programs/services in community settings.
  • Experience working in non-profit or government settings.
  • Bi-lingual fluency in Spanish, French, or Somali a plus.
