Project Employee, Business Operations

Position Summary:

The Project Employee role will play a key role in supporting the Content Production team, a group responsible for creating and documenting stories of NBA’s leagues, teams, and players. This position is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across all phases of content creation and delivery. The role will require daily operational support, content management, production coordination, budget creation and management, communication with key stakeholders and vendors, and various administrative tasks. Candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills.

Major Responsibilities/Attributes:

• Organize and input staff and vendors into the internal system for Global Events and coordinate logistics including credentials, flights and accommodations.
• Coordinate and track the department’s content and deliverables.
• Facilitate and manage location and talent releases, waivers and Certificates of Insurance (COI).
• Assist Producers, as needed, to handle staff assignments, set up meetings, create project timelines, gather field shoots and talent clearances, order graphic needs, pursue internal approvals and schedule program finishing and delivery.
• Process and reconcile credit cards, including both Departmental Corporate Cards and Purchase Cards
• Process invoices and troubleshoot issues.
• Work with Production Managers to open new projects and track Job Authorizations
• Provide event budget tracking assistance

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1-2 years of experience in Media, Production, Sports/Business Management, or related field
• Knowledge of basketball and its terminology as well as the digital and social content landscape
• Understanding of budgets and financial policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, solve problems and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Experience with Excel, XYTECH, Microsoft Word, PeopleSoft, Concur and Corcentric preferred.

Salary Range:

$23/hr
