This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead Quality Control (QC) project activities supporting laboratory development, expansion, and operational readiness at Lonza's growing Bend, Oregon site. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our QC organization, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and quality standards that enable the successful delivery of life-changing therapies to patients worldwide.

What you will do:

  • Lead and manage Quality Control project deliverables to ensure compliance with GMP requirements, regulatory expectations, and business objectives
  • Oversee the development, qualification, and operational readiness of new QC laboratories, laboratory expansions, and consolidation initiatives
  • Serve as the primary QC representative for project teams, Quality Assurance leadership, customers, and regulatory agencies
  • Provide quality leadership throughout project lifecycles, including deviation management, CAPA implementation, risk assessments, and readiness activities
  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute project plans, operational readiness strategies, and long-term QC capabilities
  • Monitor project risks, timelines, and compliance challenges; proactively identify solutions and drive successful outcomes
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing quality systems, implementing risk management practices, and leveraging performance metrics
  • Contribute to the growth and success of a high-performing QC organization supporting critical patient therapies

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline required; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of Quality Control experience within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences environment
  • Strong understanding of QC operations, laboratory compliance, data integrity, and regulatory expectations
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects or driving project initiatives in a regulated environment
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, including CAPA, audits, investigations, and risk management processes
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, influence outcomes, and navigate complex organizational environments
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for quality and operational excellence
