Job Title: Project Engineer 4 (Nuclear QA/ASME Sect III) Location: Corvillas, OR Type: Direct Hire Contractor Work Model: Remote, with occasional travel System One is actively seeking a full time, direct hire QA Project Engineer with strong commercial nuclear experience and expertise in ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and 10 CFR 21. This position supports project quality activities for a major client in the nuclear industry. Position Summary: The QA Project Engineer is responsible for supporting company/client projects by representing quality assurance in the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned project activities. The Project Engineer serves as a central point of contact between the QA team and other internal and external stakeholders for project-related cross functional quality and process related issues. The QA Project Engineer is responsible for understanding and communicating project quality requirements, ensuring they are well understood and appropriately reflected in internal documentation, and working with quality and other personnel to ensure that project quality requirements are flowed to suppliers as applicable. Typical internal stakeholders include project managers, business development and proposal team leads, engineering project leads, supply chain, individual contributors and managers. External stakeholders will typically include partner firms, with the QA project engineer leading interactions with respect to quality matters, and customers. Success in this role requires the ability to efficiently formulate plans and strategies to address requirements and new demands, as well as the ability to build strong relationships and teams. This position will occasionally be responsible for QA process related developments and will at times be asked to coordinate cross-functional project activities. Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary QA interface for cross-functional project teams and external partners.
• Support and advise on quality and process-related issues across multiple projects.
• Coordinate and prepare responses to customer RFIs and proposal/marketing activities.
• Develop, maintain, and apply project quality requirements traceability matrices.
• Manage first-of-a-kind project issues and ensure QA activities are accurately integrated into project plans.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve quality-related challenges and project risks.
• Provide direction to QA leads, supervisors, and supporting quality personnel.
• Develop and maintain QA procedures, workflows, and process improvements.
• Support risk assessments, mitigation planning, and project reviews.
• Perform additional project and QA duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Minimum 8 years of Quality Assurance experience in the commercial nuclear industry.

Strong working knowledge of:

1. ASME NQA-1
2. 10 CFR 50 Appendix B
3. 10 CFR 21

• Experience serving as QA lead on large, complex projects.
• Experience developing requirement traceability matrices.
• Strong communication, technical writing, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of ASME BPVC Section III, Division 1.
• ISO 9001 or international QA standard experience strongly preferred.
• Must be eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810.
