Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager
Mechanical / HVAC Subcontractor
A well-established Mechanical/HVAC Subcontractor is seeking a motivated Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to support project execution from preconstruction through completion. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Position Responsibilities
Review construction drawings and perform on-screen takeoffs
Assist with project budgeting, pricing, and proposal preparation
Support project management during production to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
Coordinate job-site visits with the production team
Prepare takeoff sheets, estimates, and pricing for specialty projects
Extract and clarify details from plans as requested
Respond to customer and internal team inquiries via phone and email
Assist with general office duties and additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Must be authorized to work in the United States without restrictions
