Job Description
We are looking for a Structural Engineer to support the design and execution of commercial and infrastructure projects in Oklahoma City, OK. This role focuses on structural analysis, design development, and coordination with internal and external teams to ensure safe and efficient project delivery. The position works closely with project managers, civil engineers, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle. This is a strong fit for someone with a civil engineering background who is progressing in their structural engineering career and looking to take on more project responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for commercial and infrastructure projects
- Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
- Review plans, specifications, and project requirements to ensure accurate design execution
- Coordinate with civil engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Support project planning, scheduling, and technical decision-making throughout the project lifecycle
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction phases
- Conduct site visits and field inspections to verify design implementation
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Assist with problem-solving and design modifications as project conditions evolve
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in structural engineering or related civil engineering roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or in progress
- Experience with structural design for commercial or infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools)
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and engineering principles
- Experience supporting projects in a project engineer or similar role is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
