Company OverviewImpact Recruitment is seeking a Project Engineer, with at least 5 years experience, to join our client's Engineering Team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Project Engineer Land DevelopmentPosition OverviewThe Project Engineer supports the planning, design, and execution of land development projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed?use sectors. This role blends technical engineering work with project coordination and requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.Key Responsibilities
- Site Design Prepare grading, drainage, utility, roadway, and site layout plans.
- Stormwater Management Perform hydrology/hydraulics calculations and design stormwater systems, detention/retention, and compliance documentation.
- Plan Production Develop construction drawings, exhibits, and engineering reports using CAD and design software.
- Permitting Coordination Prepare permit submittals and coordinate with local jurisdictions, reviewing agencies, and utility providers.
- Technical Analysis Conduct calculations related to grading, utilities, earthwork, roadway geometry, and site feasibility.
- Project Support Assist project managers with schedules, budgets, client communication, and design revisions.
- Cross?Discipline Collaboration Work with survey, environmental, architectural, and construction teams to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- EIT certification preferred; PE license a plus
- Experience in land development design (residential, commercial, or mixed?use)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools
- Strong understanding of grading, utilities, stormwater, and site layout
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Technical accuracy and problem?solving
- Understanding of local codes, standards, and permitting requirements
- Ability to interpret survey data, plans, and specifications
- Effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders
