For more information, visit the company’s website at sampson-construction.com.The Project Engineer assists the Project Manager and Superintendent in managementontheconstructionproject.HelpstheProjectManagerdirectand superviseactivitiesrelatedtocontractadministration,budget,andschedule.Maintainsarelentlessfocusonmeetingandexceedingclientneedsand expectations.
DUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Professionalcommunicationwithallpartiesinvolvedintheconstruction project.
- Assists in project budget.
- Assists in project schedule.
- Knowsandunderstandsprojectdocuments.
- Knows and understandsthe requirementsofowner’scontract,includingbonds,fees,notifications,schedules,reporting,andinsurance.
- AssistsProjectManagerinmanaging thesubcontractingprocess and relationships with subcontractors.
- Assistsincoordinatingthescheduletoassuresubcontractorsandsuppliers are meeting project schedule.
- Effective communication with owner and owner representative to provide a positive construction experience to owners and users.
- Employseffectiveconflictresolutionandproblemsolvingstrategies.
- Buildsrelationshipswithclients,designteam,subcontractors,suppliers,and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the project expectations.
- Activelyparticipatesinindustry,client,andcommunityactivitiestoenhance company image.
- Helps prepare for and participates in proposals and interviews seeking potential new business opportunities.
- CoordinatesandcommunicateswithContractAdministratorandotherproject team support staff.
- Assistsinconductingandreportingofpre-installationmeetings.
- Bestationedonsiteormakeregularjobsitetripstocollaboratewiththejobsite superintendent.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS:
SKILLS:
- Demonstratesexcellentcommunicationskills,bothwrittenandverbal.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the business.
- Demonstrates management skills with ability and willingness to face challenges,solveproblems,andmotivateothers,whilemaintainingeffective relationships with clients by meeting or exceeding their requirements and expectations.
- Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer and company communication tools, such as e-mail, internet, and Microsoft products (i.e. Word,Excel,Office),andschedulingandconstructionadministrationsoftware.
- Demonstratesconflictresolutionandproblemsolvingskills.
- Is Self-motivated, andhas good timemanagement skills
EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’sDegreeinrelatedconstructionfield,orsimilarfieldexperience.
