We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Engineer to join our team, specializing in Commercial and Healthcare Construction. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from hospitals and medical clinics to K-12 schools, warehouses, distribution centers, dealerships, self-storage facilities, and commercial tenant improvements. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing all stages of the construction process, from design and planning to execution and completion.
- Coordinating and collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other construction professionals.
- Ensuring that all construction projects adhere to established plans and specifications.
- Managing and resolving any issues or problems that arise during the construction process.
- Ensuring that all construction work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Preparing and presenting detailed reports on the progress and status of construction projects.
- Developing and implementing effective strategies for improving construction efficiency and reducing costs.
- Supervising and guiding construction teams, providing them with the necessary resources and support.
- Conducting regular site inspections to ensure that all construction work is being carried out correctly and safely.
- Maintaining strong and positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Project Engineer position will have the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in commercial and healthcare construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing and completing projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide construction teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various construction professionals and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using construction software and technology.
- A strong commitment to safety and quality, with a keen eye for detail.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different construction sites as needed.
