Project Engineer / Project Manager

Seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Project Manager to join a growing manufacturing operation specializing in custom steel and metal assemblies. This is a highly dynamic, customer-facing position ideal for someone who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and enjoys coordinating engineering, production, vendors, and customers.

The successful candidate will have a strong manufacturing or industrial project-management background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and customer specifications. Experience with steel fabrication, structural metal components, or material handling products is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project definition and execution, including pricing and scope discussions.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and customer technical specifications.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and production timelines.
• Manage multiple active projects while monitoring progress, costs, and deadlines.
• Provide regular project updates to customers and internal stakeholders, identifying potential issues or delays.
• Maintain project documentation, schedules, change orders, and other project records.
• Coordinate with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Track production efficiency and assist with production planning.
• Support the resolution of technical issues or conflicts that arise during production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment managing projects with customer interaction.
• Strong project-management, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
