Project Engineer/Project Manager (Utilities )

Impact Recruitment is currently searching for a highly motivated Project Engineer/Project Manager to join our client's team in the East Gulf Region in Mobile, AL. This is a production focused position that will be leading and managing utility projects. Water/wastewater experience is required. What you’ll be doing: Manages projects to meet contracted budget, scope, and schedule. Performs engineering design for various utility projects, including water and wastewater, fiber/telecommunications, and natural gas. Oversee and guide designers and drafters to deliver utility projects. Responsibilities may include applying established and well-defined engineering techniques, procedures, policies or standards. Perform design computations, check plans or computations, and develop quantity takeoffs. Adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results. Applies standard practices and techniques to accomplish work assignments. Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies. Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. Adheres to company standards for quality assurance and quality control as defined in the quality manual. What you need to have: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering 5-12 years of utility design experience Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation preferred Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Alabama is desired but not required Ability to work well with other related disciplines and coordinate design activities for timely completion and within resource budgets Experience and ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems Hydraulic modeling experience preferred About Impact Recruitment: At Impact Recruitment, our goal is to facilitate the partnership of innovative organizations and inspired individuals seeking to affect positive social and environmental impact in our communities.
