Project Engineering Co-Op

Ergon, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer Co-Op in Flowood, MS. The Project Engineer Co-Op will manage capital and maintenance projects for Ergon's Corporate Engineering department. The person will work closely with Facility Management and Business Unit Operations personnel to initiate and guide the scoping, estimating, and execution planning for capital projects. Key Responsibilities: Assist with ongoing engineering projects, applying classroom knowledge to real-world problems Help analyze workflows, production methods, or systems to improve efficiency Prepare reports and present findings to engineering or management teams. Help maintain documentation Gain exposure to company culture, corporate policies, and industry standards while building technical and professional skills Position Qualifications: Minimum 3.0 GPA required Ability to commit to three consecutive semesters in the co-op program Sophomore or Junior standing in Civil or Mechanical engineering (minimum GPA of 3.0) Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred Ability and willingness to travel as required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a team-based environment What You'll Gain Hands-on experience in engineering applications Exposure to real-world operational data and process improvement initiatives Opportunity to collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams Development of analytical, technical, and professional skills in a corporate environment Practical experience supporting continuous improvement and capital projects At Ergon Inc., we live by our core values: Empowered Service: Together, we're committed to delivering unparalleled service.
