• Food or Beverage experience(Meat Processing a plus)
• Experience leading or supporting CAPEX projects

Position Overview

The Project Manager will oversee engineering initiatives within a high‑volume food processing environment, taking responsibility for projects from early planning through final rollout. This role requires strong leadership, technical project oversight, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a regulated, fast‑moving production setting. The ideal candidate will be capable of guiding both internal stakeholders and external partners while ensuring projects meet expectations for safety, quality, and operational performance.

Primary Duties

• Take full ownership of assigned engineering projects from initial concept through completion.
• Establish project goals, deliverables, and scope in alignment with operational and business needs.
• Build detailed project schedules, resource plans, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments—including operations, maintenance, and quality teams—as well as outside contractors and suppliers.
• Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure alignment with financial guidelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Ensure all project activities adhere to regulatory expectations, internal policies, and food safety requirements.
• Promote safe work practices throughout every stage of the project.
• Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee supplier performance.
• Support the implementation of new technologies and upgrades across the facility.
• Recommend improvements to enhance process reliability, reduce downtime, and streamline workflow.
• Maintain thorough documentation and deliver routine project updates to leadership.
• Conduct end‑of‑project reviews and capture lessons learned.
• Adhere to attendance expectations to support team coordination and operational continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field (mechanical/electrical preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of engineering project management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven experience leading projects from concept through final implementation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools and software.
• Familiarity with food industry regulations or similar compliance‑driven environments is beneficial.
• PMP certification or equivalent training is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for vendor visits or work at other company sites.
