Job Description

Join our team as a Project Finance Manager at Gorman & Company!

We’re seeking a strong, team-oriented leader to oversee our Project/Construction Accounting division. This role is responsible for leading a team of 9 professionals while managing the full scope of project, pre-development, and construction accounting. If you bring a background in real estate or construction accounting, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and know how to hold a team accountable while supporting their growth—this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop a team of 9, driving accountability, performance, and collaboration

  • Oversee project, pre-development, and construction accounting operations from set-up through close

  • Manage the full monthly draw cycle, including preparation, submission, and reconciliation

  • Ensure accurate job cost tracking, financial reporting, and general ledger integrity

  • Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure timely, accurate disbursements

  • Manage bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting requirements

  • Partner cross-functionally to support project funding, compliance, and financial success

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with real estate or construction accounting preferred

  • Proven experience leading and managing large teams with a focus on accountability and results

  • Strong understanding of job costing, draw processes, and financial reconciliations

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting systems (RealPage experience a plus)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range of $120,000–$130,000 annually

  • Eligible for performance-based bonuses and incentives

  • Hybrid schedule with 4 days in office and 1 remote day per week
