Forklift Operator
Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to support warehouse and distribution operations. In this role, you will be responsible for handling, transporting, and storing materials using powered industrial equipment while helping maintain efficient workflow throughout the facility.
The successful candidate will have experience operating forklifts, demonstrate strong attention to safety standards, and thrive in a high-volume warehouse setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move products and materials throughout the facility.
- Receive, load, and unload shipments while minimizing product damage and ensuring efficient material flow.
- Store, transfer, and arrange inventory within assigned warehouse locations.
- Assist with picking, staging, and preparing customer orders for shipment.
- Perform routine pre-shift equipment checks and report maintenance or repair needs immediately.
- Verify inventory placement and communicate any shortages, overages, or discrepancies to management.
- Adhere to all workplace safety requirements, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Utilize warehouse systems, scanners, labels, and related tools to support inventory accuracy.
- Maintain clean aisles, organized storage areas, and a safe working environment.
- Work closely with warehouse leadership and fellow team members to meet productivity and shipping objectives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Prior experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial environment.
- Background in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to safely handle products and materials of varying dimensions and weights.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of standard warehouse safety practices and equipment operation.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Dependable attendance, professionalism, and a strong commitment to performance.
